Venezuela faces one of the most decisive elections in its history.
These elections will determine who controls the governors and the key
municipal positions throughout the country. What
happens on Sunday will have a profound impact on the future of the
Bolivarian Revolution.
On
November 15 a successful day of solidarity with the Venezuelan
revolution was held in Brussels, with many speakers from Belgian
trade unions, other solidarity campaigns and guest speaker Jesus Pino
of the Revolutionary Front of Steelworkers in Venezuela.

power without shooting a bullet. Ted Grant exposed the role of the
Socialist and Communist leaders who appealed to the capitalist state
to take action against the insurgents instead of mobilising and
arming the workers, and tail-ended Pfimlin to defend the
democratic institutions , thus politically disarming the French
workers in the face of the shameful capitulation of Pfimlin to the
Generals.
Preparations are under way for the
JKNSF convention on November 29, where close to 10,000 youth are
expected to take part, to hear the main speaker, Lal Khan.

Wednesday, October 5th, in Bolívar Hall in London, there was a
screening of “People's Power” (“El poder
popular”) the third part of “The Battle of Chile”
(“La batalla de Chile”), by Patricio Guzmán,
a film produced in 1979. The film focuses on “People’s
Power”, i.e. the formation of grassroots movements and
organisations that challenged the old structures of Chilean society.
Workers and youth are
being radicalised in Switzerland and are seeking answers to the
crisis of capitalism, but their leaders are not providing those
answers. That explains the successful intervention of the Swiss
Marxists in recent rallies organised by the trade unions, Young
Socialists and Social Democratic Party.
A new book by Lal Khan is being published to celebrate the 40th
anniversary of the 1968 Pakistan revolution. Here we publish Alan Woods' Introduction
in which he highlights the main processes of the tumultuous 1968 events and
explains how a new 1968 is being prepared in Pakistan in the coming period.

the Hungarian-Venezuelan Solidarity Association (HVSA), who after a
period of close collaboration and discussions had decided to join HOV.

trillion dollar bailout of the banking industry . It's no surprise, then, that
there is a growing ear for populism of the far-right. Many working people are
very confused about where the system went wrong and are looking for someone to
fix it. Third party figures of the right, such as Bob Barr, Chuck Baldwin and
Ron Paul, claim to have the solutions.
